One of Indonesia's best chances to see hammerheads including schooling scalloped hammerheads and great hammerheads together. Huge schools of barracudas, tunas, giant trevallies, surgeon fish, rainbow runners, big eye trevafllies, whitetips plus occasional whale shark, oceanic manta and mola mola sightings. Negative entry deep dive with vertical walls and divers are expected to deal with changing currents especially on ascent in the open ocean.For experienced divers only.

Gili SaRANG
Impressive ocean island with pristine reef big enough that it can be dived several times on different sides depending on conditions and divers preferences.
Famous for large schools of 100 plus mobula rays with sloping reef of world-class soft and hard coral gardens, huge boulders and vertical walls on the south. Regulars: mobula rays, whitetips, coral catsharks, clusters of stingrays, frogfish, macro and jam-packed with Indonesian sea life in huge numbers. Negative entry, advanced dive. |
The CATHEDRAL
Open ocean pinnacle, susceptible to surge & current, but more manageable than Magnet. Cathedral is a combination of vertical walls and boulders and spectacular topography.
Covered in sea life and surrounded by huge schools of surgeonfish, unicorn fish, batfish, barracudas, pompanos, sardines, tuna, tongkol and trevallies hunting in the current, this is a must do dive site where you really feel part of nature and puts the divers in amongst so much wild fish action. Divers are usually accompanied by up to 10+ olive / erabu sea krait buddies. Very common are napoleon wrasse, barracudas, schooling batfish and occasional eagle rays and dolphins as well as all Indonesian usuals. Negative entry, advanced deep dive. |
The MANTA POT
Possibly one of the most intense manta dives you can ever do. Shallow channel between the mainland and a small outcrop of rocks. It is located in the mouth of a bay with the prominent influence of strong tidal currents.
This dive site is located along the South-West coast of Lombok half way (approx. 1 hour's drive from either location along stunning coastline) between Belongas and South ('Secret') Gilis and offers a unique opportunity in Lombok to dive with majestic manta rays plus white tip reef sharks and Jenkins whiprays, cave, swimthroughs and awesome coral gardens and topography. Octopus, false stonefish, GTs and dog toothed tuna are also regularly spotted there. We discovered the Manta Pot in August 2020 and have had incredible, consistent sightings of schooling manta rays there every year since. Sightings ranging from April until November and have still never seen other divers there. Dived according to the ocean conditions and swell size. Negative entry advanced dive. blue hole
Gigantic opening down into the rock amphitheatre and unique topography are the main attractions of this dive with often sightings of whitetips, GTs and whiprays.
The views up to the surface and the light conditions give the dive site its name. The entrance is set below the sheer cliffs and rock formations of the South-West coast of Lombok. The location can only be dived when the swell and conditions are right. Negative entry advanced dive and often not for the faint hearted. |
Boulder cityMassive rock formations and walls scattered with whip corals and Indonesian sea life down to almost any depth.
Napoleon wrasse, occasional bumphead parrot fish, marble rays, white tips, lunar fusiliers, huge schools of fish and another chance for anything to cruise by. Dived according to the ocean conditions and swell size. Negative entry advanced dive. |
soft coral gardenTwo small pinnacles connected by a pristine coral garden.
The locations is set just inside of the bay and although still Belongas, thus occasionally affected by swells, it can be dived with a positive entry and represents a reef-exploring dive with a focus on smaller stuff along and around the diagonal jagged wall as well as amongst rock formations covered in colorful soft corals. Very common to see leaf scorpion fish, octopus, turtles, stonefish and other Indonesian usuals. |
