ABOUT BELONGAS

Picture
Belongas can be a challenging dive destination, suitable only for experienced divers (minimum of advanced open water certification with around 100 logged dives), but can offer massive rewards.

The dive sites consist of open ocean pinnacles, giant walls, overhangs, boulders, dramatic topography and even our own huge open cave. All have something special and different to offer, but can only be dived according to the ocean conditions with safety in mind and the area is renowned for challenging currents.

Belongas gives you the best chance to see hammerheads (schooling scalloped hammerheads and sometimes great hammerheads together), schooling mobula (devil) rays, oceanic and reef mantas and even mola molas and whalesharks during our main season from April/May until November/December.

During the main season water temperatures range from 20C to 26C, out of season 26C to 29C.

All year round we have World class diving and usual sightings of huge schools of barracudas, tunas, giant trevallies and big, free swimming whitetips as well as all of the Indonesian regulars.
