Getting There

For those wishing to arrange their own transport or come by scooter, there is a safe parking space at boat departure point (although we recommend not to leave any valuables behind), and for driving directions, please, insert the following pin drop details in google maps:
(-8.8497520, 116.0590850)

The pin drop will take you in front of this mosque, which is the only mosque in the area with green and gold tiled roof and roman numeral “II”. The name of the mosque is Masjid Nurul Hidayah in the village of Sepi.

As an additional landmark there is a 50m tall red and white antenna about 200 meters from the mosque in Sekotong direction. There is a small row of shops and a petrol pump on the opposite side of the road.

After Alam’s shop with a sign “Wild Scuba” proceed for another approximately 30 meters in the Kuta direction (opposite Sekotong direction) to a dirt road turn-off and follow across the marked football field to the meeting point. We will aim to arrive at the Pin Drop location around 8:00 am to pick up fuel and equipment. There is a limited telephone reception, but if you get lost, please, call No.: +6281219961317 (Telkomsel reception only).

Estimated travel times:

From South Gilis: 45-60 minutes
From Sekotong: 30 minutes
From Selong Belanak: 45 minutes
From Kuta (Lombok): 60-75 minutes

For those travelling to Belongas Bay from South Gilis, it’s worthwhile checking the new road running high up the hills along the coast of South Eastern edge of Lombok island and offering breathtaking views. The new road is the shortest way to get to Belongas from South Gilis.

The turn off to the new road is located in the village of Pelangan, where on the T-shaped main intersection with a statue of a farmer/fisherman with a sign “Welcome to Pelangan” you have to turn left (if you are facing the front of the statue).
